Assam State Film (Finance and Development) Corporation Ltd. has organized a Two Day Workshop on “THE RECENT TREND OF FILM MAKING: ITS PROSPECTS AND CHALLENGES IN THIS DIGITAL ERA” on 6th and 7th August 2022 at Assam Administrative Staff College, Khanapara, Guwahati.

Sri. Madhur Bhandarkar, renowed film Director, Producer and Script Writer was present as the Special Guest.

Sri Pijush Hazarika, Hon’ble Minister, Information and Public Relations, Water Resources and Sri Jayanta Malla Baruah, Hon’ble Minister, Tourism, Public Health Engineering grace the occasion as Guest of Honour.

Prominent personalities like Kapil Bora-Actor, Director, Producer, Sagar Sangam Sarkar-Script Writer, Yusuf Mehboob Shaikh-Distributor, Aimee Baruah-Actor, Film Director and Producer and Shyam Bora-Producer were the resource persons of the workshop who discussed on different topics related to-

  1. Realistic Film-Scope and Challenges of an Actor,
  2. Diversity in Script Writing: Success of a Good Film,
  3. Challenges in making and Marketing/Distribution of Films in various indigenous languages,
  4. Tech smart Cinema for everyone. How will producer deal with challenges in post Covid Situation,
  5. Scope and Challenges of a female Actor in today’s competitive world,
  6. Film Making in new Digital Era: A Film Director’s perspective,
  7. Recent Trend in Production Management in Regional Films.

  • WORKSHOP ON FILM MUSIC & SOUND, STORY & SCREENPLAY WRITING,DIRECTION, AND PRODUCTION OF CINEMA-24th and 25th September, 2022

Renowned personalities viz Sri. Lalit Pandit, Music Director, Sri Debajit Changmai, Sound Designer, Sri Amrit Pritam, Music Director, Sri Dhrubajyoti Phukan, Music Director and Sri Zubeen Garg ,Singer, Music Director/Producer and Sri Jatin Bora, Actor and Director took special sessions for the film enthusiast of Assam and North East.          

The Workshop was very successful which witnessed the presence of many Cine Lover.
